Jul 30,  · When I try to run VMWare Workstation Player in MS Azure I get: VMware Player and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Player. I tried running DC Readiness cmdlet and turned off hyperV from Programs and Features. Also I turned off Public and private firewall settings. But did nt help. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Workstation. At one point I must have turned on Hyper-V within the Windows 10 Virtual Machine. But I am unable to remove the role, because I must power on to do so, and VMware . Therefore, if you are accustomed to running applications on the XP Mode VM, you will have to use another virtualization technology such as Hyper-V or VMware Player/Workstation. I happen to have Hyper-V installed for a Windows Phone 8 SDK and VMware installed with a bunch of guest OS VM\’s.

It has a fault tolerance that ensures consistent availability by generating copies of preferred workloads through different servers. Hyper-V creates backup copies of all VMs. If you still wish to stick VMware workstation, there is a work around. However in this setup, it can only run bit operating systems. Here are the steps: 1. Windows Key > type in \”windows features\”. 2. Windows Key + W > Turn Windows features on or off. 3. In the turn Windows features on or off box, uncheck Hyper-V and hit OK. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware Workstation. At one point I must have turned on Hyper-V within the Windows 10 Virtual Machine. But I am unable to remove the role, because I must power on to do so, and VMware .
