Outlook keeps asking for password. Hi all. I have a client with a Win10pro pc, Office Home and Business, connecting to Office Following a very recent windows update, my outlook cannot access my Microsoft email accounts via exchange and keeps saying password needed.

All tips i found has not helped, delete cached password, new profile, etc nothing helps, it keeps asking password. I am getting a couple new customers each day that getting this problem and i don’t know what to do. And Microsoft has no answer to this, all i hear from Microsoft is silence!!! It’s both Office and On-Premises Exchange where we have this problems that Outlook keeps asking for password. Almost every day a new customer calls and asking me what they can do to stop entering password for Outlook. Don’t matter if its correct or not. However, outlook is connected and updating. Just told my users to leave it open, if they close it then it stops updating.

To fix it, I temporarily turned off the two factor authentication, through the outlook.

Outlook has started to ask repeatedly for my gmail password. It won’t get beyond this. I’m using POP. You need ppassword configure Gmail with 2-Step verification and an App Password and then use that app password when Outlook prompts you.
