Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. There used to be sources were we could direct download old versions, but MS broke those links a couple of years ago now.
Sorry to say, you are out of luck. You can try installing and activating. I you are lucky the activation will work. If you are luckier, MS may still download the existing updates, I don’t know if it will, but you can try. This is the full version of Office , but you should be able to install just Publisher.
Not sure if your keycode will work By the way, I see in your list of Publisher versions that Pub and are both version Is this a typo? I had read where there were no changes to Publisher in Office and this seems to support that assertion. MS simply did not “bother” creating a new version number for Office It causes a lot of confusion and trouble. I don’t want them, but got them. There have been a couple of other similar trivial feature leaks. Win10 is the ‘last version of Windows’ I can see why they would treat Office the same way.
Does Word show version 16 too? As you describe the ‘About In the rest world version numbers are relevant. But yes, apparently in MS land Windows and Office applications version numbers are no longer relevant.
Keeping the same version number fits for Windows 10 since they still call it Windows And even for “Office “, since it is still the same name. But what MS is doing in Office is “incorrect”, or inappropriate. In normal usage that would require a new version number. Calling Version 16 is confusing because it is not the same as or Office It does not have the same feature set as Frankly, I’ve always thought that when was released MS should have created a new version number for at that point, ie Office V16, Office V17, Office V Version numbers are supposed to be a way of identifying the base code, which means features in a program.
Feature wise Office was frozen at Oct and Office at Oct , while continues to evolve. Legacy Windows and Office can make good economic sense from a user point of view. It does mean you have to be more proactive about malware. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
