Now the steps are complicated and I can’t get the Step by Step exercises to match the downloaded files. Used to get a Step by Step CD too. Really perfect for a non-techie beginner. A must have. One person found this helpful. Very good! As advertised.
I am Microsoft Office certified and I have used the Step-by-Step series for several years to teach students how to use all the Office applications. The versions of the Step-by-Step series were decent books that walked learners through the process of doing various operations in a clear, logical way.
And the accompanying practice files helped reinforce the chapter concepts by letting students try to complete various tasks on their own after having been shows step-by-step in the chapter. Well that seems to have all changed with the series of these books.
My negative view of the series of books seems to be shared by several of my students as microsoft enterprise library visual studio 2017 free. Some have went so far as to abandon the book completely and rely on just their notes from class demonstrations as they find these microsoft powerpoint 2016 step by step by joan lambert free to follow without all the extra confusion the books seem to now add to the learning process.
I will be switching to a different book for future classes I teach. I read through the book hoping to learn PowerPoint. In the introduction, there is a website where to go to download the files.
The link is dead. It no longer exists. When I attempted to contact them at по этому сообщению email address, that, too, was dead. Without the files, the book is useless. Save your money and buy another book where the authors have the courtesy to provide you with the materials needed to learn the topic.
Was disappointing as I could not locate the practice files from the website given. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. The book is ok but would not recommend it for beginners. However, it doesn’t make it easier because you cannot download the Step by Step exercise files from the link they suggest on the back of the book.
For the price, without the exercises to follow, is expensive. Report abuse. Really good. The book is clear and easy to follow, however, I cannot find the practice files microsoft powerpoint 2016 step by step by joan lambert free download them.
I have emailed the company a couple of times to ask for help but they haven’t replied. I will start studying this and other books in a few weeks. It’s thick, has lots of pages. It also came in excellent condition. I’m very pleased with the condition the book is in. The book was ordered from Book Depository CA. Reviewed in Canada on June 28, Images in this review. Do they have any political attitudes or interests that may affect the way they read your piece? What do you need to tell them?
Do you want them to do or believe something? Something else? What kind of information will they find interesting or persuasive? Are there any design elements that will appeal to them? Each one has certain features and follows particular conventions of style and presentation. How do they affect the type of content you should include? As you choose a topic, keep in mind your rhetorical situation and any requirements specified by your assignments.
Do you need to do research? What do you want to learn more about? What topics from your courses have you found intriguing? What local, national, or global issues do you care about? For example, you might be objective, critical, passionate, or indifferent. Do you want to be seen as reasonable? Should you openly reveal it, or would it be better to tone it down? For example, long paragraphs may be fine on paper, but bulleted phrases work better on slides.
Should it look serious? Is there anything you should highlight by putting it in a box or italics? Does your genre or medium require them? Is there any information that would be easier to understand as a chart?

Carefully documented sources. If your text will appear online, you can direct readers to online sources by using hyperlinks, but your instructor may want you to document them formally as well. An indication of why your topic matters. Careful attention to correctness. What is your purpose, apart from fulfilling those expectations?
Are any required? We follow a recipe or the directions on a box to bake a cake; we divide a piece of music into various singing parts to arrange it for a choir. So it is when we write. We rely on various processes to get from a blank page to a finished product.
Jot down everything that comes to mind about your topic, working either alone or with others. Look over your list, and try to identify connections or patterns. Write as quickly as you can without stopping for 5 to 10 minutes. Then underline interesting passages. Write more, using an underlined passage as your new topic. Write for 5 to 10 minutes, jotting down whatever you know about your subject.
Then write a one-sentence summary of the most important idea. Use this summary to start another loop. Keep looping until you have a tentative focus. Clustering is a way of connecting ideas visually. Write your topic in the middle of a page, and write subtopics and other ideas around it. Circle each item, and draw lines to connect related ideas. You might start by asking What?
