I recently bought a Office Home and Business packet and Installed it onto my laptop. The laptop’s motherboard failed and I had a new one put in. Yes, this was the only hardware that was changed.
After I started it up again , all my programs seemed to be intact and working except for office. It would seem it no longer had its key. I take it the key is linked to the old motherboard?? Its the same laptop with only a different board, and I can’t use my old key anymore since they say it has already been used the maximum number of times. How do I fix this? Can I de-activate and re-activate the key somehow? Hello Janet, We understand how you feel about the situation.
